the 2024 - 2025 coffee harvest a journey of passion, effort and hope

The 2024–2025 Coffee Harvest: A Journey of Passion, Effort, and Hope

Every coffee bean that travels from Finca Terrerito to your roaster carries a story – one of passion, effort, and dedication. From picking to processing, drying, and exporting, each step of the process reflects the commitment of those who pour their hearts into the land. For us, coffee isn’t just a drink — it’s the result of years of hard work, sacrifice, and collaboration.

Working the Fields: Tireless Effort

The 2024–2025 harvest wasn’t easy. Long days under the sun and rain, along with the hard work of our harvesters, tell a story of deep dedication. Every coffee cherry was hand-picked with the care and precision that only those who understand the land can provide.

This season brought a shift: coffee prices began to rise. But when prices increase, it’s easy to overlook what’s behind that cost. The true value of a cup of coffee isn’t just in the price — it’s in the early mornings, the hard labor in the fields, the soil that’s nurtured, the sun that guides the process, and the water that breathes life into the crops. That’s the real story behind every sip. Next time you enjoy a cup, remember the unseen hands that make it possible.

Baltasar: A New Beginning on the Farm

This January, amidst the challenges of the season, a special moment brought us unexpected joy. A calf, whom we named Baltasar, was born on the day of the Three Kings. This little gift from nature reminds us that even during difficult times, there’s always room for beauty and surprise.

Baltasar is a symbol of hope — a reminder that while the work never stops, there are always moments of happiness waiting to be discovered.

Farewell (for Now) to Our Heroes of the Field

As the 2023–2024 harvest comes to a close, we reflect with gratitude on the incredible effort of our harvesters. Their dedication and hard work made this season possible, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

We say goodbye to them (for now) with admiration and appreciation, looking forward to their return for the next harvest. Until then — thank you for everything!

A School That’s Growing and Thriving

This month was also special because we kicked off the new school year with more strength than ever. With 39 children enrolled in our educational center, each one represents the future of our community.

Supporting these young minds and watching them grow is one of our greatest rewards. Their progress reminds us why investing in education and the well-being of our community matters so much.
